i'm not sure about soft drinks, but juices can spoil. I'm also a bartender and we use the small cans of dole pineapple juice. on a few occassions i've opened them and they were bad. someone argued w/ me on this and said the can had a whole or break in it and that's why. this could be true, but i never saw any damage to the cans and they are hard to pierce w/ out leaving a dent. i always make it a habit of smelling juices and milks before i serve them. but i would be interested to know about soft drinks and beer in aluminum cans.

Beverages in can last a long time,.depending on the quality off the can. It does not get spoiled as long as the can does the job.

Well most fruit beverages wont last more than 6 month to a year the maximum most. But totally sinthetic drinks like pepsi and coke can last for 3-5 yrs depending upon the level of pesticide they use in their drinks. I know "pesticide" but thats the thing which stops bacterial growth and increases it shelf life to years.

Shelf life of a particular beverage depends upon what type of beverage it is,aerated drinks last till the can lasts, non fermented fruit juices may get spoil quickly while spirits can last longer.

It varies from one beverage to another. I can tell this from experience because I am in packaging industry for food grade applications. It depends on the drink, if it is perishable like fruit juices etc., with or without preservatives, or carbonated drinks or beer and so on. If it is carbonated then the shelf life is defined by the minimum amount of gas volume that should be retained by the drink to retain its original taste. it will also depend on the method of bottling/filling used. you should be able get details of shelf life from some FDA website.

i think that they do spoil in about 30 days. if it is cold drinks, it might stay a bit longer but fruit juice and other drinks containing citric acid can spoil in less than that too.
