Hi Jennifer...indoor cats get fleas through various means--open doors or windows that are low to the ground, when someone walks in from outside they are carried on our shoes or clothes or comes into contact with another pet animal who has fleas. :-)

Yes, definitely! I use Advantage when my cats show signs of fleas and it clears them up immediately. I usually put it on them in the summer months, even though they're indoor cats.

Yes, definitely. As already pointed out, people who come in from the outside can bring them in - a flea can survive without a furry host for three days, plenty of time to bring one around, if it decides to come along :(

I use Frontline - after an initial infestation when he came to my home, he doesn't show any signs of fleas - but still, after I went to my Grandma's farm, where I was in plenty of contacts with (probably flea-infested) kittens and dogs, I got him a second doese, just in case. Looks like we managed to avoid them this time... :)

Certainly can. And once they do, you have to get it under control quick because those little bast*ards spread like wildfire! Worse than rodents.

They sure can, when you go outside, if there's other animals about that had them, they'll jump onto you and you take them into your home unknowingly and then kitty gets them.
