im 5'1" weight about 120 lbs n hav a 28"waist..i hav alot of muscle n am very athletic

Based on your height, weight and age, your BMI is 22.7, which means you are a healthy weight. (18.5-24.9 is a normal range).

But here's a question....how do YOU feel about your body? What's your relationship with food and body like? If you are eating when hungry and stopping when full, that's a good sign. If you are restricting your caloric intake to maintain a lower weight, or you are compulsively overeating, that will certainly throw off your natural weight (or "set point" at which your body settles).

I'm sure you are fantastic just as you are! It's a shame our culture makes women feel badly about their bodies...

No, you are not overweight, your weight is within the healthy weight range for both your age and height. The fact that you have a lot of muscle, says that your weight is probably more than ideal. Only you know, whether you personally feel the need to lose weight, but it certainly isn't necessary in a health sense. HTH : )
