see today in 2nd period he told my best friend that he had thought I was pretty and then my other friend strarted laughing for what reason I don't know so then he started to decline that he said that he liked me so even though he said he didn't like me to get out of embarresment do you think deep inside he still does like me?

Talk with the guy and find out! A lot of boys fear rejection and they are not sure if a girl would want to date them. If you start things off then he will be embarrassed at first, but secretly he will be happy.
Ask him, "Hey, someone told me that you think I am pretty, were they right." If he says yes then you know he likes you, or is a polite guy. If he says no then you can just say, "That's why (your best friend's name) was laughing at you." And walk off.
If you like him then ask him to study with you, or ask him on a date. He is probably too embarrassed to do it himself, and that explains why he tried to back down when your best friend laughed at him. He probably also spoke to your best friend so it would get back to you. Why else talk with her about another woman.
Your best friend (I assume she is a girl) probably laughed at him as a reflex action. When women are competing for possible mates they will pull out all the stops in that battle. She may or may not be interested in this guy, but by kicking you out of the field she keeps her options open. When he started talking with her about another women she was a little insulted so she bit back. She may not have even known what she was doing it was an instinctive reaction.
Don't be afraid to ask a guy out, many guys your age are afraid to ask you out, and you have the power. The worst thing to do a guy is to laugh at them; it deflates the ego real quick. It will turn off a lot of guys, but be careful it will also make them mad, so use this harsh penalty with care.
I say that you have the power, because frankly most guys want to date a woman, and they will do about anything to win her (except face rejection). If you make the first sign than ANY guy who is interested in you will follow up. You can then determine how fast your relation goes. Yes, the first thing on every guys mind is sex (its an instinct), but both of you are not ready for it yet. When you are, you can tell him so and he will fall all over himself to please you.

I think he does like you but he got embarrased when your friend started laughing but the only way to know for sure is to ask him but make sure your alone when you do it so he'll feel more at ease

Finding someone pretty doesn't necessarily mean that he likes you, does he always smile at you? try to make conversation with you? then he likes you otherwise he may just like the look of you!

your friend is a bad friend! wow. that can REALLY damage a boys liking. Give it time--he at least wont stop thinking you are pretty. He may not really "like" you but he soon will if you give him your totally confident, sweet, cute little persoanlity im sure you have, he will like you again no doubt.

yea, lots of guys do that. i remeber something similar to that earlier this year with my bf, i blew him a kiss when i was leaving school, and i didnt think no one was paying attention but a lot of people actually saw and started bugging him, he turned away from me like he didnt even notice, but he was trying not to smile, and kept looking at me as i left.

it is possible he has feelings for you, right now it sounds like he is attracted to you and has some interest so wait it out and see what happens. you definatly have his eye on you.

he probably does, he was just embarrassed then b/c your friend started laughing. your friend probably unintentionally made him feel weird for liking you, so he took back his statement. but he probably still does like you.
