What? It sounds like you are confusing asylum cases (on TV) with citizenship. Asylum is granted when the individual is under threat in their own country, not from another illegal in this one.

I Am sorry for your mothers pain, and your problems that you have had because of your dad,, keep him away from her,,
Your mom, has to be legally a resident for five years, to qualify for citizenship.
Where did you ever get the idea that because your mother was a victim of a crime, she would be eligible to be a citizen,, It is terrible what happened to your mother, and i am sincere, but she will not get any special treatment because of what happened to her,,,
Maybe you mean ASYLUM, YET i am not sure what televison program you have watched, but that is not the way it is done,
IN FACT, many people think that if an illegal lmarries a citizen, then they are a citizen, and this is not true either,
it may help them stay in america as a legal resident, but not a citizen,
You have to take a test, like everyone else, and you have to be here five years,,
I suggest you go to www.uscis.gov or cal 1-800-375-5283
this is immigration, and they will give you any information you need,
good luck

What would be the reason for granting her citizenship? She is illegal. Mom and Dad need to get out of the U.S. and go to the end of the line behind the ones who are in the process of getting their citizenship the right way.

Your mother is not entitled to citizenship. Nor is she entitled to asylum. Asylum is to protect individuals from persecution by the governments of their countries, not from individual people.
If your mom wants to remain in the United States legally, she needs to apply for status with CIS. Depending on how long she has been here, and the status and age of her other family members, she may be allowed to adjust her status to a green card.

No. What you have heard is a special rule that gives battered women citizenship so she doesn't have to stay with her documented husband. However, since both your parents are illegal, the rule does not apply.

both of your parents went to the states illegally, she'll never get her citizenship like that, she has to apply for green card, and live there for a certain period of time, in order to become citizens.

Why would the US reward your mother for marrying a jackass? This isn't the lottery, you know. She doesn't win a prize.
One thing has absolutely nothing to do with the other. Nice try.
