Do any of you have an oppinnion on what's really going on with the mid east crisis, high oil prices, the war on terror, the demos vs. the repubs, etc. Just asking. I think it's all leading to one thing the end that Revelations in the Bible speaks of.

Everything that is happening is in perfect alignment with Bible Prophecy. People don't want to face the Truth because it would call them into personal accountability and repentance! However, like it--don't like it..that's just the way it is!!!!! Time is getting short, people!!!!!!!

Well, there's been war in the middle-east for ages, and always will be. Ok, so, let's put you back about 67 years or so ago when WWII started, how would you feel then? Pretty much every country in the world who had a military were involved. When the dust settled, over 50 million people had been killed, and some 10 trillion dollars total I think it was, spent on the war effort. Then, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf, Desert Storm, the Second Gulf War and now, the fight that's coming to an end in Lebanon. See what I mean, no change. And isn't everything supposed to come into one? Well, I cannot see that happening in the 6 years predicted from now untill the possible end. I'm not saying I don't take religion seriously, because I do, I'm just saying that the way things are now are no different then 30 years ago. Just the thing about the 6/6/06 and the new novels coming out get people hyped up.

Oh, PS: WWI and the Cold War!

dave_83501,
Well, Dave. It's like this.

My opinion is that your statements are a little unclear (as in they are poorly crafted), as to what you mean. But I'll give it a go.

The texts to look at are Ezekiel 38 and 39, Zechariah 14, and others which are mentioned.

God gave to Hagar the prophesies concerning her unborn son, Ishmael:
Genesis 16:12 And he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren.

And such a happening is occuring with the mindset of those in Islam. This is clearly seen.

With the powers that be in the Middle East, all their nations are set against (the literal Hebrew translation of the verb, to hate), Israel.

God says that He will gather the enemies of Israel against her, and the land of Gog and Magog, which is Russia who have their hand in the workings of those in the Arab nations, and then He will appear at the Mount of Olives to defeat them. That we know hasn't happened yet, but we see that the stage is set.

Even the Kings of the East are ready for war. News is not hard to find, especially from last month, as tensions arise between Japan who has incresed their army size and state of readiness. China is becoming ready for war. The leader of North Korea disappearing for a time adds to speculation of teerrible times coming. But I think that the time is not yet. The smog from China becoming so prevalent, that it reaches the California coast. Also North Korea was beseiged with torrential rains, and China having acid rain affecting it, it can only delay their plans further.

To Zechariah 14 we go. There is a prophecy concerning the Mount of Olives. That when Jesus returns to defeat said armies, there will be a geological change occuring in that region. Last month on Foxnews.com in the science section, it noted an area called the East African Rift. It's a fault line that comes out of Africa, and cuts through the Red Sea, north past the Sanai Peninsula, under the Dead Sea, the river Jordan and past the Mount of Olives in Israel. This rift had a common movement separating the Red Sea by about 3 centimeters a year. In a 3 week period it had moved 26 feet. It is as if a clock began ticking after the terrible earthquake from around Indonesia causing the tsunami that killed so many over a large area. It changed the rotation of the Earth, and we are now seeing movement on the other side of the Indian Ocean where this East African Rift is.

I see nothing in particular with the typical Demos vs. Repubs. In fact, I do think that we are going to be attacked by our enemies. Russia from the north, and possibly Mexico, Venezuela at least from the south.

Technology is more than capable, in my opinion, to handle the Mark of the Beast. The National ID card that GW has been referring to might be the precursor, but that is rather old news. I think that the Social Security Card is a step in that direction too.

If you have any other questions about things specifically, let me know. I'll be glad to answer what I can.

All I know its all a big mess and I'll be soooo glad when three's someone else in the White House and hopefully it won' t be someone a worse war monger for I guess(really am praying that it wont) Iran is next. The war on terror-Iraq -should never have happened for no weapons of mass destruction and no direct tie to Al Quida and no connection to 9-11. Saddam just tried to kill his daddy but couldn't destroy Iraq under that premise and why all the false connections were made. Oil prices are going down-like who controls the prices in This country but the ones selling it who are the Oil Companies-now they esp BP having some problems esp no inspection for like 17 yrs and should be all the time monitoring condition pipes, equipment and so forth and Voila price of gas going down-go figure. Republicans and Democrats-2party system of democracy--who WE elect-go figure. Revelations isn't a end its a new beginning for the earth will be made new-Will it be totally destroyed and then God creates a New Earth-don't think so but will undo Harm Man has done and then will be clean air, fresh water, Habitats restored and the lamb will lie with the lion(no fear-no predators -can't wait for that). I live each day the best I can and trust God that all will happen as He intends and I'll be OK. God Bless and happiness to you and your loved ones

It could be. Since the Middle East plays such a significant role in end-times prophecies, whenever things get stirred up in the Middle East, it raises the question. Then again, when are things ever not stirred up in the Middle East?

Whether the end is very near or centuries away doesn't really matter. The Bible tells us to always live with eternity in mind and to live as if the days are few. Also, things can get pretty bad without it being the actual "Tribulation." There have been many times in history that Christians thought things were so bad, that the end must be very near, but so far they've been wrong.

So when things start looking interesting and we begin to raise the question "Is this it?" what we really need to do is be reminded that time is short for us all, whether the actual end is a ways off or not, and we need to "make the most of every opportunity" while we can.

Yes, it is! Did you see the special on the news last night? It was called the end of the world. It was about the global warming and how Iceland is melting faster than they thought and that within decades it could melt enough to have a 20 ft rise in the ocean which would wip out Florida, some of the most Northeastern states, and several other countries. And then If the south antartica melted there would 20 more ft rise and that would wipe out most of North and South America and lots of other landmasses! But they said if we work together we could slow down the effects. I really wish folks would join in to stop the world's destruction.I'm not scared but it will be billions of ppl migrating toward the center of America and other countries or death. New Orleans would be nothing compared to what is coming! I'm so thankful for Jesus giving me my salvation! I hope you have also.

Sure it's leading to the end. The world has been approaching its end ever since the Garden of Eden. Of course it is. What - did you think we were getting farther from the end or staying the same distance from it? Naturally it's approaching it's end. You needed the Bible to point that out to you?

I think that you are right!

though the Bible says that no man know the day or hour, the Bible does state that we will know the season.. if you are in a coma and woke up, you wouldn't know the day but looking out a window you would know the season. by what is going on around you... the trees, the weather, what people are wearing... etc.

Jesus told us that we would know the season of the end.. I do believe that the season is here.

You all can call this guy a "bible humper" if you want, but just check back with him in another 10 - 20 years and tell me then what you think. And to the guy who made reference to "Christians looking for the end since the first century", well, they didn't have nukes then, did they? Kinda hard to wipe out mankind without them. Also, the dip in oil prices is only temporary. Since Israel failed to totally wipe out Hezbollah due to world pressure, they will come back bigger and stronger than ever the next time. Just wait until the oil flow out of the Middle East is shut off by all those towel heads over there and then see how the price goes. Hey, you people better wake up and prepare yourselves.

There will always be the end of days scenario. Just look at what Revelations talks about war, famine, disease etc. This describes every day life as it has been for generations.

The real key is when we are told it will 'come like a thief in the night'. This means, when you least expect it. And, when you and I have tired of all the end of the world talk, and when the Christian community begins to doubt its own teaching.

People have ALWAYS predicted the end times. Worse -- and VERY dangerous -- is the perception that the Middle East actions are in line with biblical prophecy. There's some evidence that Bush is in line with this perspective and it's dangerous because now there's a divine mandate for one's actions (the very problem that exists in Islamic theocracies!). That said, the problems everywhere are due to the fact that we all view ourselves as separate and defined by our own beliefs and other thought systems. We become attached to our opinions and beliefs and fight to maintain them and protect them. Get rid of the self and the other problems go away.
