Children can "read" pictures from 12 months, reading words can start at age 3-4, and understanding phonics starts at 5-6. Though some start later and some start later. Exposing children to reading by reading to them from a young age will help any child with their reading.

i guess my definition of reading would be to....... read a source of information and taking it in?? ok i have no idea i guess just picking up a book or a newspaper who asks questions like that??
