Pretty much everyone needs braces. Its just a matter of how much. Most people just have spacing issues (either to crowded or spaced), this is just a cosmetic issue, so it does not REQUIRE treatment, but you can get braces for it if you want. Other than that, when you go to your dentist and have all of your adult teeth, if you need braces, they will write you a referral.

Well it all kind of depends on how you feel your teeth look. It's kind of a cosmetic thing. I definitely needed braces because I had a mouth full of teeth. I had to have some teeth pulled. But if you choose the right orthodontist it can be a relatively enjoyable experience. If you find yourself in need of help with Braces in Bedford then check us out! www.jensenorthodontics.com

it's not something you can look out for. it's like asking how you would know if you needed breast implants. everyone can benefit from braces to some extent, but from a dental decay perspective, the teeth ought to be lined up without overlap/crowding so they are maximally cleansable & you wind up with less food traps. you sound like you think you need braces, and that in and of itself should make you go schedule a consult with an orthodontist, not the dentist. the dentist will just say ok, and refer you to an orthodontist, and your insurance will not pay for braces, so it's a waste of time to go to the dentist solely for an orthodontic referral.

Braces are normally required if your teeth is not alligned properly, crooked or crouded. A to your orthodontist would be be a good way to start, you will get the expert advise from him. Better early than later. Good luck

Try searching for orthodontists who will help you check if you have need of braces or retainers, some give the check for free except for the x rays.

Usually your dentist will suggest you see an orthodontist if your teeth are crooked. It's a pain for a few years, but well worth it for the rest of your life.

You go to the dentist or ortho. That's the easiest way. Or check for these things.
-crooked teeth
-overbite
-crossbite
-underbite
