We start ours on a mush food at about 4 weeks. We take puppy food and water and put it in a blender and mix real well. We can make it real thin that way and every week we can start to thicken it up a little. By 8 weeks our pups are off mothers milk and eating regular hard puppy food.

As long as Chico isn't having runny bowel movements then you can keep on feeding him the wet food. And as he gets older you can mix it with dry food. It's OK if he wants to sleep outdoors. Maybe he's just an outdoor dog. You should enroll him in the petsmart training classes its a $100 for a weeks and really works if you go until Chico's a little older. Also you should keep him in a large metal kennel gate thingy if you want to potty train him. And walk him every time he wakes up , after he eats or drinks. You have Bruno so you should know what to do. And if they don't get along you should keep Chico in the cage and let Bruno sniff him and stuff from the outside. And always give Bruno treats first then to Chico. Especially if you had Bruno for a while. And don't leave them alone together especially if you know Bruno can get aggressive. Other then that just give him lots of love just not in front of Bruno.

You don't want to feed them PARTY SOLID foods. You can start with Gerber's, (or any baby food), at 4 weeks. As they learn to eat, get puppy food. Let Mom keep breast feeding them til about 8 to 10 weeks.

Congrats on the babies. Mama dog will care for them for the first few weeks. Depends on how many pups in a litter, with a small litter they usually do not want anything but mama's milk until about 5 weeks. If a large litter, start feeding them at about 4 weeks. You start them out on soft puppy food.

Really it all depends on the puppies because when my dog had them at 6 weeks they were eating there moms food already so we put puppy food in there for them so that they could still nurse on there mom and get full. it doesn't hurt to feed there mom puppy food either because she is feeding them and she needs the extra nutrition that the puppy food has. So either way it depends on when the puppies can eat but it is still best for them to nurse until mom doesn't want them to nurse any more.

Congratulations! You can make a mushy food, from puppy formula mixed with puppy kibble, at about 21 days old..Put it in a pie plate or other such flat bowl, and allow them to step in it as they eat...Serve it warm...they will be eating about 2 feedings per day by 4 1/2 weeks, and be ready to wean from mom at about 6-7 weeks. Allow mom to make the decision as to when to wean..Keep their tiny nails trimmed, so they don't scratch and make mom dog sore..

If mom is doing her job, the puppies are getting all the nutrition they need for now. She'll be the one to start the weaning process. When you see her nursing less, you can provide semi-solids in the form of steeped puppy chow. Moisten the puppy chow with hot water, allow to cool, mix and serve warm to the pups.

Congrats!

you really should get a book on raising puppies. There are MANY things that you need to know.
Puppies can be weaned as early as 6 weeks and that is when they can start eating dry food or moistened dry kibble

Let then nurse as long as the mother will let them. They we start getting teeth and she will then get mad so that is when you went to start on feeding them your self. You can start with baby cereal then go to puppy food.
