No. I think that most driving problems arise because no one is considerate of the drivers around them. Everyone is so focused on getting where they are going as fast as possible and dodging everone around them. Everyone is always in their way. Most people cut other people off, pull out in front of others, ride bumpers, etc all day long but heaven help if someone does it to them! Everyone has to be the fastest, the first one to the red light (just so they can stop with the rest of us), and right up on someone's bumper. Everyone is so impatient and self absorbed. This driving is actually more dangerous than the evil cell phone usage. But if we just slow down (not too slow), pay attention, and try not to run anyone else over; we will all get where we are going without all the stress. No tickets, no accidents, no road rage. Do you really have to be there right this minute? And do you have to be first all the time?

No. Because this is one incident people do with out thinking. Most people cut other people because they feel they're not going fast enough. But Road Rage is based on the persons condition of thinking thing through. Your in a car/Truck/SUV, You just became 100 time stronger 100 time faster, 10 feet taller. and now your in control. Some one cuts you off, you have just been insulted, now it's payback. If your already running late, there is the fuel for recourse. The train light just start flashing, and the the vehicle that cut you off is just in front of you, which is just in front of the crossing. More fuel. Now your thinking your going to be late. 5 minute later the gates go up the lights turn off and once again your on your way, Hot and madder. Your thinking of ways to get even. Your thinking is what drives your actions, think happy thoughts. Think of the good things you have been given. Be great full for what you have. Don't do wrong things because some one did something wrong to you.
Just be great full the person didn't wait 1 more second before cutting you off.
Live happy, and stay alive.

Yes I do.

I also believe that if frogs had wings they would not bump their butts as often as they do.

Seriously. There are, in my opinion, three causes for road rage.

About 10 - 15 percent of drivers are satisfactory. All the rest are substandard and should not have a license.

Most people, over 50%, are chronically late. They will arrive late for their own funeral but the will arrive after speeding all the way to get there.

Another group falls into the category, I call, "disciples". They believe themselves to be one of the 12 most important people on Earth and they, too, are chronically late. My assumption is they are late for the second coming of Christ.

Basically, if folks would just get out ahead of the power curve instead of spending their life catching up. My Dad was a stickler for being ahead of schedule and of obeying traffic laws. He instilled that in me and at 58 years of age, I have yet to wreck a car, my most recent ticket was 34 years ago, and I have well over 100,000 miles on motorcycles as well. Now I will grant you all that could change tomorrow but it won't happen because I am doing 100 MPH in a 65 zone while cutting off as many other drivers as possible.

I would also bet that the installation of two .50 cal. machine guns as factory equipment would improve a lot of attitudes on our highways...

Not really. Say I pull out in front of you and YOU get pissed... It's not MY fault you cannot control your emotions enough not to be pissed. So my actions have exposed you inability to deal effectively with an emotional moment. So you get pissed and want to "get back" at me for what I have done. Now it's road rage, caused not by me, but you. Maybe if people learned a little more about being a nicer person it wouldn't matter if someone cut them off.....

it might decrease a little. But people should be able to control their emotions. I understand how a person can become enraged when another driver pulls out in front of you and you have to brake suddenly, or another driver cuts you off. It's frustrating and easy to get steamed about it, but you have to realize that there are more stupid, selfish and inconsiderate people out on the road than there are smart and considerate people.

That's why you have to pay extreme attention and drive defensively. Also, be an example when you drive. Show them how it is done.

that's a hard question to answer,,it would all depend on if everyone would drive good,,and i doubt that ever happening,,although it would be nice for a change but its not just the pulling out in front of people that causes it,,its all the other stuff like stopping dead in front of you,,and all of that stuff also,,i guess when we all become better drivers the road rage will end,,and maybe someday it will,,but for now i guess we just keep driving,,and hope for the best,,good luck,,i hope this help,s.

How about just friendly driving? No traffic jambs? Flat tires? Slow trucks in the left lane? Idiots with left flasher on until he turns to cancel it? Or people who do not where they are? Cell phone talk getting to heated to watch for car stopped on the road? People who never signal? Old klunkers that won't go 45 mph on the Highway?

YES!!!! I get so pissed off when I'm doing 55 mph and people pull out in front of me to do 35. Then sometimes then turn not even a mile or two away. I f-ing hate that.
