I don't know if I am depressed. I really don't have a reason to be sad (except the fact that I am a loner), but I am always feeling sad. Sometimes it is about something, other times I am just feeling sad. I cry myself to sleep at least 3 times a week. Sometimes when I am busy doing something, I all of the sudden feel like crying for no reason. I keep thinking about suicide, but I don't really think I would commit suicide. But no matter what I am doing, I can not stay happy. I am not sure if I am depressed, bipolar, etc. And I can't ask this question to my parents because they think I am perfectly OK and they wouldnt believe me.
And please don't put stupid answers, because I am serious and I don't like feeling this way.

Please email me nemofiddler@yahoo.com anytime. i know what you're going through and I understand all too well! seriously, email me if you need to chat! (I'm no councellor, I'm only 17, but I understand what it's like! So I'm not faking or pretending to know!) Take care

I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder some 20 years ago, but I definately remember feeling something like you describe. For me the answer has been therapy and meds. If you think about suicide, pleeeeeez talk to a professional (if you're in school, a good place to go would be the school counselor). Don't ever think you'd never do it... I mean, why would a person think of it at all if there were no problem. I suffer from chemical imbalance. I was never, and still am not a depressed 'type' person. I wasn't sad ABOUT anything, but when your brain doesn't produce the correct chemicals or amounts, your thinking is most definately effected. Don't let the feelings sink any lower!!! I would bet that your parents have noticed too.

You are definitely depressed. I have also felt that way, for a good part of my life. I really suggest that if your parents wont help you that you go to someone else. You don't have to feel that way. There is help. There's always counseling and, of course, the antidepressants, which fix the chemical imbalance in your brain. I hope you find relief, good luck. Please, find someone to help you.

i feel the same way right now. I have been like this for most of my life(im 32 now) I am a loner too.. I have one really good friend but i prefer to hang out at home with the family.. but I found that exercising helps me ALOT. four or five times a week do somthing you LIKE to do and gets your heart pumping like dancing or whatever you like to do.. gets your happy hormones to work..lol but anyways if you can find someone to talk to, anyone.. it helps to get it out.. but dont let yourself sink lower ok?

Dont worry buddy , pls see a psychartrist and he can prescribe some medications. You defninately need to take medications at least 6-9 months for sure.
Do not waste a day. See a doctor as soon as you can...and you will be fine!!.

You don't have to have a reason to be depressed, depression is a chemical imbalance, I suggest you see a Dr. and explain how you are feeling.

Yes, you have a problem. don't try to diagnose it, just go talk to a doctor. It could be simply hormones - (s)he can tell you what you should do. Life is beautiful and exciting and full of so much promise. Good luck to you honey.
