I would still complain!!! Most hair stylists say to come back if not satisfied. They can level out any damage and you can ask for a different stylist. For free. Unless you request a new service like coloring. I know this is true for the $10 places so it must be doubly true for real salons.
If the haircut is bad simply because they took off way too much, then you allowed that to happen. You were there, you had an opportunity to say how short you wanted it cut. Complain if they truly misunderstood you.
You could ask for a refund and go elsewhere to get someone to "fix" the problem too....but you may be on your own with all expenses if your salon doesn't have a money-back guarantee. So, I would just recommend having them fix it even if it means you have to come back when a manager is present.
If you decide to be apathetic and leave it alone, well, hey! It'll grow back soon enough!

I stopped payment on a check once and refused to pay on another occasion. You're right, they can't put it back and a coupon for a free cut the next time is a waste because they couldn't get it right the first time so what kind of a tard would let themselves get butchered again by the same hairdresser?
Things to look for before you let someone cut, perm, or style your hair...1] what does their hair look like...if the stylist has a fried or messy hairdo ...don't let them touch your hair. (Never trust a bald barber-He has no respect for hair) 2] Is it meal-time or closing time for your stylist? many things can make a stylist rush and not pay attention to what he or she is doing. 3] The nationality of your stylist may determine how your hair is going to turn out. If your stylist doesn't understand or know how to care for your particular hair texture, he or she may only be "guessing" at their work and you could be stuck with a bad hair do. 4] Is the attention of the stylist focused on you and your hair? If not...find a new stylist.

I would go to a reputable barber or stylist, and get it straightened out, and all you can do from there, is let it grow out and continue to trim until you are satisfied. After that, find a stylist or barber that you like, and stick with them. Look for pictures in magazines and bring them in, so that they know just what you are looking for. Good Luck

number one... did they do what you asked them to do? if not go to the manager and get refund. number 2 how short did they cut? is there any room for a different style that you like better? check the internet. if it wasn't the cut but the color you didn't like wait 3 weeks or so and get a new color, just don't go to the same person again.

i dont think there is much you can do! all i suggest is different/fun hair styles or just wear and hat or bandanna! i've had this same problem and i wore a hat for 2 weeks and before i knew it....my hair grew back the way i wanted it to and everything turned out fine! so dont worry about it just put up with it for a couple weeks and you'll survive!

They can refund your money. First, brush your scalp before you wash it. Stimulate your scalp by massaging it during the shampooing. Nioxin is also a stimulating cleanser, sold in salons. Good luck and get a hat in the mean time. Then when it's long enough, go in and get it evened up a bit. :o)

If it is too short for your liking, and you want it back to normal I suggest looking into a weave or extentions for your hair. This will cost about um, depending where you are 20-100 dollars, but they can stay in untill your hair grows back to how you want it.

Go to an expensive salon and ask that they fix it...tell them what you wanted and didn't get. In my opinion, you should be going to a more expensive salon if you got a crappy hair cut. Go to one that charges $40 - $60 per haircut.
