I dont smoke now, but when I started smoking a while ago, my desire to draw was strong, I'm an artist and I dont do much of it now,
I had a cigarette the other day after not smoking for about 2 years. I had the impulse to draw right after the smoke.
but that was a couple of weeks ago, and I'm not going to start smoking. if I want to get back into my artwork, then I will find inspiration thru other mediums

Wtf? Get a new doctor. But I hear exercise is a great anti-depressant. (:
EDIT: Okay, I don't see how you have the right to call other people rude when you're the one telling us the kiss your ***. From the way you responded to our answers, I think perhaps what you are trying to say isn't being understood, because it's hard to understand when you're not using correct grammar. Anyways, no, smoking is a really bad cure for depression, and in the end will be the only thing that keeps you sane. Good food and exercise is best, if pills do not work.

I think nicotine would make you worse...if a doctor told you to smoke to cure depression, then get a new doctor.

the result of smoking can calm some minor emotional illnesses but it does more to harm the body, i think using the nicotene patch would be better than smoking.

that sounds so horrible. smoking doesn't cure anything. it only makes things worse. it affects your body, which also affects your mind, especially since smoking decreases oxygen in your blood and your amount of blood oxygen affects your brain. you get the point, right? get a second opinion. good luck. i wish you well.

No fortunately i don't have a mental health doctor but if a doctor told you that then i suggest you change doctors. Why cure one thing but then give yourself another problem.
