How do I get the gridlines to print on my Excel spreadsheet? In the print dialogue box, I have checked the "print gridlines" box but the lines don't get printed. THey don't even show up in print preview. Have I accidentally turned a setting off? Any ideas?

Go to page set up. This is the one where you can choose landscape or portrait for the printing. One of the tabs, I believe it is the last one, has an option you can click to print guidelines.

On the toolbar on the right side there is a little button that looks like a window. Highlight the cells you want to show gridlines for and click the dropdown arrow on that button. Select the box with all lines blacked in and voila, your gridlines will show up when you print.

You have to make sure the "Borders" toolbar is at the top. Right click on an open area at the top and make sure borders is highlighted. Select the down selection arrow to the left of the "paint can" and choose the picture that looks like a four pane window.

Mark the area you want to have gridlines and click the "window" looking icon again.

Tada.

Select the cells you want gridlines for, then right click and select format cells -> Borders. I don't know any other method that works.

Highlight your table
Right click on the table
choose "format cells"
choose "border"
click the "inside" and "outside" border lines.

That should work. Good luck
