Tip number 1 - never try to comb or brush your hair while it is dry. Always do it while wet or damp. This will help give your hair some slipage and detangle easy.
Tip number 2 - Try to get some glycerin and mix it with water (1:3 ratio) this will help mosturize your hair
Tip number 3 - Detangle while you have a deep conditioner in your hair. Detangle and wash in sections... (even better when done in the shower)
Tip number 4 - Baby Love conditioning detangler works great. it is gental and does not cause a build up.
Tip number 5 - Use a wide tooth comb. the smaller ones just create more tangles .
These have all helped me along the way.

Do you use conditioner? Try applying it in the shower, gently detangle with a wide-tooth comb while your hair is saturated with conditioner. Rinse. Now, apply a tiny bit of conditioner to your soaking wet ends and length. Don't rinse, leave it in. When you dry your hair, don't rub it with your towel. Gently blot, and put it up in the towel. Then take it down and gently comb again.
Let your hair air dry, blowing it dry can cause tangles. If your hair is long, try a pretty updo to help prevent tangles.
Have you had a trim recently? Hair in need of a trim can get very tangly. Get a trim and see how it behaves, then.
I HTH a little.

Hi Sweethurleygurley, that's a pretty good name!!! I'm sorry but I couldn't help laughing when I first read your question!!!!!!!!!!!!! When my hair was longer I sometimes had the same problem. I remember what I had to do was fined a good conditioner to use. Use plenty of it in the shower, and if you have to brush your hair out in the shower with the conditioner still in your hair and spread around Very good!!!!!!!!! TRY THAT and see if your hair is a little bit easier to manage. Don't over blow dry it, and it should look pretty sexy too.

Leave the conditioner in your hair (provided your hair is not oily) and comb with a wide-tooth comb (detangler comb) from the bottom up.
