But if u didnt follow him your punishment would be to cease to exist after u died. Which to me seems worse than Hell. Because just imagine not existing. Would u still love him like u do now? He'd still want to have a relationship with each and every one of us.

Sure would. My relationship with God is based on so much more than an avoidance of hell. I really don't even give avoiding hell any thought anymore. He puts such joy in my life. Answers my prayers. Guides me and directs me when I'm smart enough to listen and obey. (-: Establishes wonderful friendships with other Christians and just puts such love in my heart for others! It's such a better life than when I was without him and life seemed so directionless and depressing.

The real definition of hell is eternal separation from God. That is what is the worst part of it all. If there was no hell, then the God I serve would cease to exist, so I couldn't possibly follow Him, could I? But I can rejoice in the fact that I know the truth and it has set me free. I know where I am headed, do you?

I will Always love for He made Me and then dies so horribly on the cross so I could continue into eternity. I don't follow God"s commandments just to stay out of hell although that is a great motivator but to be in total love in heaven with all those that I cared for, loved that are already there waiting for me , to know more and understand more than now, to wish myself there and because not fettered by human body I will be(talk about time travel) To learn and understand the mysteries and to have knowledge revealed to me and yes,to understand God.

Possibly the best and most poignant question on here, though i don´t know the answer! All i know is i read a quote once that said ´´imagine a life without god? it is impossible, totally impossible´... Fair play.. But like the genius and comic Bill Hicks said ´´The only people who go to hell are christians, because they are the only ones that believe it´´ In other words we create our own reality.. Believe what u like folks, as it will come true..

First of all, Hell is another word for Sheol, the grave. The true torment is the Abyss where Lucifer will be sent and where the angels are now that fell with him. In the Abyss there is no presence of God's light and love. There will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I would still have faith. Where else would you rather be than Heaven?

I do not follow Jesus Christ because I am promised heaven. Granted, that's nice and all, and I'm glad it's going to happen.

I follow Him because I found in Him the perfection of every desire I've ever yearned for. Justice, mercy, unconditional love, compassion, forgiveness, strength, kindness. These and a hundred more beautiful things, is what Jesus is. His way of living is higher than anything of this world; it demands all you have, giving yourself up day after day, every day of your life. There is no other way I would want to live.

I don't believe in the Lord because I'm afraid of hell. I believe in the Lord and follow the teachings of Christ because I want eternal life with God.

Personally I would like to think that I would still be a christian. My faith is not based on fear of hell but instead of a love for the saviour who loved me. So if there were no hell I would still want to spend eternity with Him.

Most definitely. God isn't only about saving us from hell. He's there when you need him, to protect you, to guide you, and to help you. Having a relationship with him alone is enough to make me want to be a Christian.

I would still follow Jesus. For me hell would be to be separated from his holy presence. I cant immagine not being anymore. I am. I am me, and the very essence of my being is part of him.
The bible says all things were created by him and for him. Hell is being without his presence.
Heaven is the eternal presence of the lord.
