With all due respect to the church, that's why they are losing every case against the ACLU,they will get involved in political issues which is not their job, since they contribute nothing in taxes they should have no say so on how taxes should be spent, they have no idea the burden every child to unwed mothers costs in assistance, health care, and schooling, why is it that churches that have their own teaching programs, charge an arm and a leg to get an education there,if they really would like to help, they should do it for free

~I feel it is perfectly fine for the church officials who may be doing this to do so. Likewise, I feel it would be entirely appropriate for the same officials to be charged, tried and sentenced for doing so, and sued civiliy for any expense incurred by the civil authority in securing custody of the illegal alien. It's really quite simple: if you choose to break the law or aid and abet others in committing their crimes, be prepared to pay the price.

There is nothing politically charged about the scenario. If the church wants to provide sanctuary, the church can pray that the battering ram used to knock down the door or walls doesn't kill someone in the process.

With all due admire to the church, that's why they're dropping each case against the ACLU,they are going to become in touch in political themes which isn't their job, because of the fact that they make contributions no longer something in taxes they might desire to have no say so on how taxes might desire to be spent, they have no theory the burden each newborn to unwed mothers expenses in information, well being care, and education, why is it that church homes that have their very own coaching courses, fee an arm and a leg to get an training there,in the event that they actually might decide to help, they might desire to do it for loose

This woman will stop at nothing. She will use anything and anyone - even a helpless little child - to shield herself from her crimes against our laws. Using children as human shields is a tactic of terrorists, not mothers At least, not good mothers.
Since when is the church, of any denomination, in a position to tell us which governmental laws we are to obey and which laws we are to deem unfair, thus giving us the clear conscience to ignore them?Jesus stated very clearly: "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's" ~ Matthew 22:21

The church is supposed to support its members spiritually, giving assistance to the poor when necessary, and to teach its members to become more like Christ. Christ taught humility, humbleness, meekness, and obedience. Jesus never taught disobedience or that you can pick and choose the laws you wish to obey.

We have watched as, sadly, churches became the sanctuary for pedophiles. Is the church now willing to shelter all forms of illegality? They will if this is allowed to continue or if activists have their way.Yes. The leftists and illegal immigrant activists are all over this one, suddenly adopting the belief that perhaps there shouldn't be a separation of church and state after all. At least, not when the church can serve their agenda.

The Church is supposed to be a place where people can go to acknowledge, confess, repent, and turn away from their sins, not a place to hide from them.

The church is a place where all people are to feel safe. I do not think they should hide anyone that is doing wrong, but help them to figure out what they should do. The church and the authorities should work together to help these two, keep them safe and find a remedy to the situation.

As far as the church sees it, we are all God's children. There are no borders. God watch over all of us ; the church is just doing God's work.
Much as I understand that we have to deal with illegals, I don't have any problem with the church's stand. The church is a sanctuary and the government should stay away from it.

The church is only providing a roof over her head, not legal sanctuary.

The federal agents can go in any time they want. They simply won't.

And how often do you see churches NOT getting involved in politically charged issues?

Actually, there is a law against it. There was a 'sanctuary' movement at one point with churches hiding people from deportation and the churches were charged criminally. It stopped the movement.

I think the Church is above politics and it is giving a compassion shelter to these people
