Depends on your decor and personal taste, but generally you'd want something "calming" as it's the area where you sleep. Ralph Lauren has a blue called "Twin Lakes" that goes well with white, or "Kamaka Island" leans toward green, lavender is also nice in a bedroom (R.L. "Cape Cod", "Spokane Falls"). You'd generally want to avoid yellow in a bedroom unless it's a guest room (yellow makes people feel irritable after a period of days). Soft shades of green are clean and refreshing while restful to the eyes (R.L. "In the Meadow", "Sage Sweater")

You have to ask yourself a few questions before you pick a color: What color do you like to look at most? What is your favorite color to wear? What color do you look best in?
Now take that color and take it down a few notches...it will be complimentary to you and your other decorations in your room. If you cant decide between a couple colors, buy a small can of each and paint a large square on the wall in question and view it during different times of the day, paint looks different during sunset (brings out more orange, yellow, warm tones) or during the afternoon (bright, near white light shows the true color, but brighter).
And remember, its only paint...you can always change your mind. Good luck!

what do you mean by "adding color"? Do you mean having 3 of your walls white, and one a different color? Or do you mean a paint border? There are tons of different options, it can be pretty hard to choose. When i re-did the paint in my room, i did three of the walls off-white, and one of them a lavender purple. It looks really cool on the far side of the room, and a special piece to it.
When choosing a color, go with something that suits who you are, not something that's "in" as of now. Do you want your room to be mellow, and calmer? Use a muted tone, or a pastel. Or do you want it to make a really powerful statement? Use a bold red or pink
Go with your gut and what you'd honestly feel more comfortable with, and what feel you want your room to have
and you can always repaint, if you don't get it right the first time!!
Good luck!!

I would go with a dark color that pulls me in. A deep burgandy, a navy blue, a deep purple? I'd also consider doing one of the texture paints on that wall to add depth. A beautiful color I saw on a tv show was a gallon of dark red, that they added a small pint of gold colored paint (not just yellow - gold). Tey mixed it together in a big pail and then painted the wall. It had such depth to it. It was gorgous.

A good trick for this is to take a look in your closet. You will notice that you gravitate to certain colours. Pick one of those for your accent wall.

Would depend on your flooring. If you have carpet, maybe pull one of the colors from it and use it on your walls.
If you'd like a romatic and cozy feel...try something like a dark, dusty rose or a cranberry color.
If you'd like something energizing...go for yellow.
If you'd like something soothing and relaxing, go for greens or blues.
The darker the color...the closer that wall is going to look so if you want to keep the room feeling larger...go with a lighter color or a pastel.
Have fun...pick you favorite color and go for it.

I would pick a color of interest to you and use it as an accent color. Paint only one wall that color leaving the rest white.
Classy and elegant. every color goes with white, even Black
