If I move out of the US to Canada, will my credit history follow me? If you live in Canada please explain to me how your Credit System works.

I moved from the UK to the US and it did not follow me. I had to establish credit all over again here. Different countries have different rules and agencies. It does not follow you as people suggest.

I agree with ZCT. It does not follow you to another country. When you apply for a credit card in Canada, they are not going to get your US credit report from TransUnion or Equifax or Experian of US. They have their own credit monitoring system. I believe TransUnion Canadian version?

This might be good or bad. But thats how it works.

Telling from personal experience of a relative who migrated to canada and had to start his credit history all over again.

Ofcourse if you take a high loan, default it and run away, they might track you down. That is a different story.

Banks are working together all around the world, with one common goal... To stick it so far up your ***, you'll never escape. Get used to it, consumer.
