If you're making overtime, then go for it!

You can not be made to work more than 40 hours a week, unless it is your job description which you signed at the beginning of your employment. BUT if you don't they can find ways to make you sorry you didn't or they can find bogus reasons to fire you.

If you're getting paid by the hour, then it's worth consideration.

If you're not, then you talk with your employer and diplomatically let them know you feel this way. It may mean something good, like they see potential in you and you are rising, but it also might mean they are trying to use you...just gauge their reaction and see how it goes. If it seems the latter, it may be time to look for another job.

No, unless prior to getting hired, it said "mandatory overtime" when necessary. Then you gotta do it! Sorry. =(

If you feel like your employer is being unfair and mistreating you, you can always fill out a complaint (and no, your name will not be shared).
