Yeah even I get very restless at times and then I thought over it and discovered the reasons.
If I skip my breakfast in the morning I have a depressive restlessness and it really disturbs me - so I have to have a good meal.
If there are times when things didnt quite go the way I wished it would and I could notice it happening but couldnt quite do a thing to change it or to bring it back to what I wished. That's when I felt restless again. I figured I need to have more control over things that can disturb me and cause such feelings.
Being restless and afraid is being anxious. When facing anxiety best remedy is to relax, have a glass of water mixed with a spoon of sugar and a pinch of salt. Breath normally and try to calm down.
Once you are calm think of the cause and find a solution rather than thinking of the problem.
If nothing works:
Pray to God and call a friend.

Restlessness and fear are a state of the mind and not due to any real reason. You are the best person to know how your mind works. Be aware of your thoughts, the working of your mind which is causing this state. You are getting carried away by your thoughts. Be alert, be aware of your thoughts and you will understand how your mind works. How it does not like to be at rest. This awareness and the understanding will reveal the actual truth that outside of your mind there is nothing to be restless or afraid about. If you live in the present moment, there is no reason for restlessness and fear, as the present is what is and what can be or what was.

I don't want to trivialize these questions on mental health issues but I just don't understand why you folks aren't reaching out to real professionals on this.
I know health care is very expensive in the USA, but every city and town have Mental Healthcare Units in local city and state government. In NYC, the numbers can be found in the blue pages of your local phone book. The calls are as confidental as they can be and you will certainly be directed to the help you seek.
I am not a medical professional, simply someone with the great gift of common sense and I hardly think that doctors are on "Yahoo! Answers", so I suggest that if you are in school, speak to the nurse at school to guide you to help and if you are an adult, call your local hotline. There is serious help out there.
Good Luck!

Another thing you may want to look at is your caffeine and sugar intake. A lot of people end up getting jittery and nervous rather than just more energy.
