Been there. I had panic attacks so bad I thought I was going to faint and fall down. Caused by awful supervisor.

I found doing aerobics twice a day, such as The Step, released my anxieties. Took a while, but now I RARELY experience any form of stress or panic attacks.

I know what you mean, I have had this for years now. I have to tell myself that it is my nerves and only in my head. I try not to dwell on it and do something to take my mind off my symptoms which can be many at one time. I do what my mother and I call the alphabet game, it works believe me. What you do is start with the letter A and think of every and any word you can that starts with A, don't get all stressed if you can't think of many, just move on to B and keep doing this with each letter until your panic attack is over. This may take time as it is hard to concentrate, but keep trying and you will feel better. Your can't concentrate on your panic attack if your concentrating on something else. Good Luck and God Bless!!

I had panic attacks for about 2 years, they ended in 2000. I would get a racing heart, high pulse, numbness in fingers and feet, upset stomach, and sometimes pain and weird feelings in chest. For me it was the fact I was not happy with the way my life was going, I thought I was having heart attacks when I would get a severe one. The whole key is to get healthy both physically and mentally. Get in shape slowly and start doing more things you enjoy. Know in your mind there is nothing wrong with you and this is just a phase you will be out of soon. I would also suggest getting off all medicatios except for vitamins and asprin or tylenol.

While getting your life stress free( as much as you can) may not be possible it will help to cut loose anyone or anything bringing extra stress into your life(I stop watching all news and depressing movies)and when it got so bad that I didn't want to leave my home I went to my Doctor and he tried this or that before Zoloft & xanaxCR got into my blood stream and started working.Looking back I realized I had it since childhood but didn't know what it was.I still maintain a more possitive atmosphere around me (yet crisis seems to plague our families)but with the Great Spirits help and my meds I can handle it all.Don't think they will go away just because you feel better for awhile it has a way of coming back to haunt you.Good luck with it.

When this first happened to me and I hyperventilated, breathing into a paper bag helped. Taking deep breaths helps too. Call your doctor and get back on Ativan for awhile if you need to.

Try closing your eyes and massaging your neck. That is what an ER nurse told me. Plus limit your intake of caffeine products.

I had some for awhile. Chewing gum, fanning myself, and a cold cloth on the back of my neck helped a lot...

Read the Bible and pray...

Nothing like a drug-free America...

Tell your doctor to get you off/change your current medication...

Try doing without the drugs...
