Do you realize we spend less than 1% of our federal budget on other contries? It's such a small amount that money, if redirected to domestic programs, would scarcely be noticible.

Americans are getting fatter by the day, so food is not an issue. The homeless is an issue with many answers and no answers.
This country puts billions into its social programs. I personally think we need to cut the budgets and force people to work more efficiently. We also need to get the generations of families off the roles and back to work. Whether they like it or not. We do have a problem with the education system in this country. Kids can't spell or put a sentence together properly. The no child left behind is a great start. I love how it holds the teacher responsible. This is only the beginning. I think they need tougher rules in schools, and the parents need to pull their head out of their hind ends and get on board.

We don't help other countries. Afganistan and Iraq I honestly dpn't count as helping. Replacing one evil and giving them another costed us billions of dollars that could have gone to any cause. In reality, we shuld have put that money into things that matter NOW. Let's face it, we had no idea what to do once Hussein was out of power. They are not really all that better off, as people still die every day from the civil wars that go on everyday. Funy thing is, the governmant hates people knowing they just made Iraq vertually impossible to fix, wereas at least with Saddam they had a centralized government, and plenty of time to make a plan to take him down and fix it up in such a way that we would not be making a 15-25 year commitment. If our government cared about the rest of the world, then maybe we wouldn't blow off the UN, ignore Africa, be all talk and no action at our borders, etc That money could have gone to any number of better things, like all the things you mentioned, as well as the genocides in Africa, education, health care, etc. But it's not like anything is stopping you from helping, so stop asking what th government should do, and just do it yourself!

When are WE Americans going to start WORRYING about OUR COUNTRY and start taking care of OUR people?
We are always helping other COUNTRIES and we CAN'T even feed the poor, stop crime, and help the homeless.

We are helping... why the democrats pet program welfare has been running for decades transfering billions of dollars... its a failure but try and get them to admit that.
Literally, it will require a change in society to reduce this. This is an affluent nation, too many do not have to work to eat(welfare) in an economic collapse they would be forced to work to eat. These are otherwise healthy people I am refering to, obviously others are not but no solution is perfect as this is an imperfect world.

do you honestly think that the government can stop all crime and famine?

Right know were taking care of issues bigger than you and I. There are several wars and battles going on right now, crime and hunger shouldn't be our main concern now.

I am in total agreement with you on this one. Our president doesnt care one bit about the poor, homeless, crime or anything else. He only cares about his war and making himself and his friends even richer.

That 'help' funds is in simple terms dictator welfare for the main area. We prop up greater totalitarian regimes around the international than even the Soviets did on the top of the chilly conflict. this could be a certainty. We--actually america government--will provide funds for 'help' to all people this is professional-What-ever-it-is-we-desire-at-the-time, and maximum of that help is going to not something greater beneficial than the dictator and/or ruling elites economic institution debts. for this reason the help in certainty helps brutal regimes stay in capability for longer than they could if we did not help them. take a seem in any respect of crucial united states of america, Haiti, Dominican Republic, lots of the African states, and you will locate US tax funds propping up repressive regimes and that's in simple terms the way that this is. Or take as an occasion(I endure in innovations this nicely from my early existence)Ethiopia. interior the eighty's that they had a famine brought about by making use of the Ethiopian military particularly hording the nutrients. So we deliver them nutrients, and wager what the army horded that too. identical with North Korea, they starve their own people on purpose use them for propaganda result and then horde the nutrients this is despatched by making use of the rustic under disguise of the UN. those are actually not uncommon of remoted activities in certainty they're the norm. All of this reported, I advise that we: a million. provide up attempting to feed the international. in the event that they are able to not feed themselves they should not be breeding. 2. provide up giving help to repressive regimes and enable them to sink or swim on their own. 3. provide up giving funds to the United international locations. 4. innovations our own agency and shelter our own issues interior our own united states of america. 5. Deprogram ourselves of the theory that we 'owe' the 'international' something what so ever. this is socialist tripe.

Why would we want the government that educated you in proper English doing anything.

If you want to help the poor no one is stopping you. Why do you feel the need to help the poor with other people's money?

Its not the government's responsibility to take care of us. We need to learn to pick ourselves up and get a good life. The government should not give us everything. They are just there to govern.
