I am trying to decide between going out to dinner or cooking it and eating at my apartment.

Yes!!! My husband cooked dinner for us on our second date. I thought it was very impressive. It also shows that a man can take care of himself.

My fiance cook for me when we went out the second date and then I knew he was the one since no one ever does that before and he never cook for anyone before...So yeh it make me feel very special and at the same time impress... Now, he always the chef in the house since I can't cook...

I think a meal at home is great for many things.
You can show off your cooking, its nice to have a guy that knows how to cook. Also, it is a more intimate way of getting to know someone. And it could be fun, you can cook together.

I've only ever had 1 guy cook a meal for me and we cooked it together and it was so awesome.....I think of all the things he and I have done together that night sticks out the most to me.

Cooking it yourself means that you take the time out to do this for her it takes alot of thought and the preparation in cooking will mean alot to a girl.

I married a chef, so i would say it is more personal if you cook it yourself, and it means more to the girls... but only if you are a good cook

YES!!!! i'd be soooooooo much more impressed if the guy cooked (unless you take her to a REALLy REALLY expensive restaurant.)
just make sure you know how to cook ;)

Yes especially if it is good food. It show thoughtfulness and caring. And if you can do it well its sexy too. If you know her favorite foods and you have the ability prepare them that would be very impressive.
