As volleyballchick said....they are being paid to act in a movie...which happens to include sex,not paid to have sex for the sake of sexual gratification. In reality it is a double standard...in my opinion prostitution should be legalized, regulated , and taxed. It would protect the prostitute from violence by allowing them to get rid of pimps,unionize,etc..it would be safer for the johns by mandating regular testing,etc...and imagine the tax windfall for the govt.

Because the actors/actresses are not being paid just to have sex. Yes - that is the basis of a porn film, but they do "acting" (if you want to call it that). And the two participants are not exchanging money for sexual gratification.

Because ever since the Tracy Lords scandel from the late 70's-early 80's, the industry has really cracked down on making sure the actors & actresses are of age.

Why is dating not considered prostitution and not illegal? After all a man is basically paying for any physical activity.
