I do not understand either and I pray they will come to accept us but until then, I live my faith and let them live theirs.

They don't follow what Jesus preached, they actually added so many things to their religion that it is no longer Christianity, one of them is the Pope himself, they simply created another form of a king on this planet to rule them all and they believe he is never wrong and semi holy which is against what Jesus preached about only God is god and the rest we are all equal.
Pope also is the Antichrist, from history the popes are responsible for the worst atrocities on human kind. They also believe they are kings of this world and they did so many faults throughout the history. Catholics should be ashamed for following him cause catholicism includes him as superior!
Then they have some weird interpretations on Mother Mary and the rest Jesus Students, they give them a holy existence as well while they were only humans and later were announced as saints. Saints are not holy or gods they are humans that managed to become saints by doing "the right things" according to the religion.
All in all, they don't baptise the new children the correct christian way, (by submerging the baby into the holy water, but they only sprinkle some of it to the baby).
They don't "drink Jesus blood and eat his body" which is not to be taken directly, catholics only eat that little round bread thing, while orthodox drink the red whine with some holy bread into it.
There are so many more things to note that yo uneed to study what christianity is about and the differences with catholicism.
In a few words, catholicism was created to continue the old kingdom ways, you know to have everyone bow down to a king (a holy one, just like the pharaohs were connected to gods ancestry) and keep the power to their hands.
Just look at history and you will see why the world blames "Christianity" for so many crimes when christians are only the Orthodox and they are given a bad name because catholics used this name for their atrocities.
...but this comes from an Atheist that doesn't care for either orthodoxy or Catholicism. So you should search google for ya!

Both of these groups are a religious base. They do and say what ever they are told. Practicing a religion is a serious matter to them. Its like sports, you root for your team.
They really should not do this for they both live in glass houses.
There are Christians in the Catholic Church as there are Christians in the Protestant Churches.

1. Because Martin Luther called the Pope the Antichrist when he realized the Holy Roman Empire wasn't going to conform to Luther's ideas.
2. Because the Jews needed to establish themselves as unique amongst the various Pagan traditions, the Christians needed to be unique from the Jews, the Catholics needed to be different than the Orthodox Christians, and the Protestants needed to be different from the Catholics. This uniqueness is often established by demonizing the previous religion.
3. The Protestants really don't know what Catholicism is, nor do they understand their own religion's history.

Protestants broke away from the main church for many reasons because of some beliefs...., So when you break away you always blame the mother church for it and as to your practice they would not be believers. there's over 3,000 religions in this world and they all disagree and point a finger at each other. The main overall reason is because of PRIDE, I'm right and you are wrong!!

Protestants split from the catholics because they didn't agree with their teachings/actions.
they try to convince themselves and others that they are more right/moral/holier than the catholics, whom they came from, by accusing catholics of not being christians. The problem with that is ALL current sects of christianity are based off of catholic teachings, rituals, and the bible was cobbled together in it's current(800 year old) form by the catholics.
