I have the Bissell powerforce bagless,
I really like it, sometimes cleaning all the filters is a hassell, but for the most part its great.
I used to have a dirt devil upright with a bag, and i loved it too...

get a hoover windtunnel , they are rated the best on consumerreports.com and also they are convienient for hard to reach spots and the only vacuum with the windtunnel patented technology. It is also very lightweight and the price tag on it is not too expensive you can get it around $75-$100, which i think isn't too bad

It's a sears model- works well with good service for the ocassional repair needed(because of my daughter's rough treatment).Couldn't tell you of a bad one, sorry!
