Once in awhile when I stand, I lose my sense of sight and have trouble standing. I don't exactly feel dizzy, but I suppose you can say I am. I'm wondering if anyone knows a reason for this? And no, I don't appreciate people who don't know what they're talking about to guess. Thank you. (:

Getting a little light headed when you stand up is the result of the blood vessels in your legs not constricting fast enough when you stand up from a sitting or laying down position. This causes a momentary loss of blood pressure and is pretty normal.

If you are completely loosing your sight and having real trouble standing, you should get this checked out by your doctor.

DONT TAKE MEDICAL ADVICE OVER THE INTERNET. SEE A DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.

Oh, and it does NOT sound like vertigo or high blood pressure as a few people suggested

At first glance even your doctor may not know for sure. He will probably order tests to be done in order to identify the cause, and subsequent treatment plan.

There could be a number of explanations for this, none of them trivial. Get to a neurologist F-A-S-T!
