I worship because I was made to worship, oh and btw, worship is more than just singing songs. Worship is to be done with your whole life, in every word you say, and every step you take. Not out of fear or guilt, but because He has done so much for us we could never repay. As for uncertainty, there is none. I know who I am in Him, and I know where I will be, so there is no uncertainty.

What? Worshipers of God don't really worship themselves. They might worship God out of fear and uncertainty. That certainly plays a part. But religions, especially Christianity, like to claim that man is corrupted and base. I would think that if anything, they worship out of a sense of insecurity and low self-esteem. I suppose there is some egocentrism in it because it does also claim that man is somehow superior to everything else. So, I guess there are some egotistical motivations. But mostly, I think it's because people are indoctrinated early by the church and kept there through guilt, threats, and promises of reward.

No I worship God in thankfulness for Him not giving me what I really deserved. I am a sinner and He sent His Son to die for the sins that I and every person has committed. I thank Him for forgiveness. I worship Him because when I can not He can.

I don't worship myself - I worship the Lord. I do so because I believe in the Lord whole heartily. I have no fear or uncertainty about eternal life. It was spelled out for me in the Word of the Lord. I need to have faith in the Lord, live a good life, and share the Word of the Lord with others. I'm confident I will enjoy an eternal life with Jesus.

Everyone's got a reason for believing in a religion. Be it christianity or anything else...It's easy to see how it was all started on insecurity and a need for some "rules" if you will.

Think of it this way. There are many many arrogant people out there, me beeing one of them. I believe that each and every human has the ability to shape reality in their own hands, to break every limit set forth by religion, society and government.

Religion tries to put a stop to people becoming too smart. It sets rules and boundaries so that we humans cannot FULLY extend our knowledge to infinity. Hah, if I were so naive...Why on earth would I bother to learn ANYTHING if I could just simply say "Well, god did it/let it happen so I need no reason"

Think about it before you slap me in the face with some quote from a book. Heres a quote for ya: He that lives upon hope, dies farting. - Benjamin Franklin

No because some people that believe in God still do what they got to do and face what is going on. Just because someone believes in God doesn't mean they don't accept the reality of wars, disease, poverty and so on.
