Hi I am 15 and I got in trouble at school for mooning a boy. My dad had to come in... anyways I got in huge trouble...1 day of in school suspension, 10 days of detention, suspended from cheerleading and licks from a female vice principal in front of the principal and my dad, (which is extremely embarrassing and gave me a sore rear...legal here in TX), and I have to write an essay about decency and why what I did was wrong.

One confusing thing though, after they were done yelling at me and giving me all these punishments, the Principal told me asked my Dad if he wanted "10 minutes alone with me" in an office? he was like "it's the closest thing we have to a woodshed and it sounds like a visit to a woodshed is needed...other parents have taken me up on it?" What does that mean?

My dad was like "no that's not necessary he'll deal with this at home, but thanks anyway." So I got grounded for 3 weeks, no allowance for a month, extra chores. I didn't lose internet or cell though.

I just answered your other question, so please read it too.

Woodshed is a old fashion phrase that means "getting a spanking." People in the old days, took the kid to the woodshed and spanked them. So, if someone say what the prinicipal said, he means do you want to spank her again. Thank your Father for not taking him up on the offer, or your butt would really be sore......

God bless us all...............

Many years ago when a kid messed up at home, they were taken out to the woodshed and spanked. Hence the saying" A trip to the woodshed" for a kid that needs to have their butt whacked. What did you do? Glad to see someone still allows paddling at school!!!

Back in the day taking one to the "woodshed" was literally a woodshed where wood was kept. One would go in for a whooping.

Many, many years ago houses had "wood sheds" where wood was kept dry to burn in stoves and fireplaces. It was believed women were to delicate to here their children receive corporal punished so fathers took the children out to the wood shed so he could beat the crap out of them
