You must have a Holden Commodore VN(assuming you're in Australia)...just have the mechanic check the electrical system...

It sounds to me like the starter motor solenoid has broken. Try a good holden wrecker and get a reconditioned starter motor if you can install it yourself. Otherwise I suggest going to either a mechanic or auto electrician to get it done.

definatly a dead battery. possible bad alternator, not recharging the battery.
