Satan, Lucifer, the light bringer - He fell because he was prideful. He wanted to be more powerful than God Himself. If you look throughout the whole Bible you will find where God created Lucifer to be not only the most beautiful, but also the most intelligent and greatest angel that was ever created. If you were to read all the passages that are about Lucifer you will find that he was the best of the best and no other angel compared to him.

With that knowledge Lucifer decided to take that and become prideful and attempt to become more powerful than God.

He was once an Angel and was given authority over Adam and Eve to guide them in worship to the creator.
But sad to say he wanted that worship and you know the rest of the story.
Using a snake to talk to Eve much like a ventriloquist uses a dummy. He told Eve a lie he slandered the creator and so this fallen Angel is known to all by the name Satan
the Devil a very powerful Angel. One of the Angels that was created after the only begotten Son known to us today
Jesus the Christ.
Later other Angels fell from their positions went over on Satan's side of the issue. these ones are known as Demons.

Human beings are a paradox. Both a physical and spiritual
being.
Satan too is a paradox. Someone to blame. A way out.
But once we get past that stage. We take responsibility for
our own actions.
There are indeed outside influences. And we all make the same
mistakes. The difference is, spiritual people own up to their
mistakes, and make them right.

Lucifer was a glorious angel who wasn't satisfied with being a subject, he wanted to be God and he convinced a third of the angels to follow him. They were all kicked out of heaven and are busy here on earth. In Job, satan goes before God to ask permission, so although he is ruler of his domain, he is still in a submissive position

WOW!!!-"Dhyana!!!"-Way to go-I have been there, done that, learned that, when hit rock-bottom, and looked for help, found that I was knocked down flat on my face, over and over and over again, until that sweet undeserved blessing from our Lord and Savior, Jesus.......I found him, RATHER, HE found me, and immediately, I surrendered my heart, mind, spirit, body and soul over to him, and to this day I read in my "handbook of soul soothers" EXACTLY" John 4:7 (as you listed), read the scriptures daily, and after reading John 4:7, I repent anything in private (not through a priest, etc.-I only need my faith, and I know He can hear me)daily, then I sing, sing, sing my heart out, Psalms 23, then I start my day. God bless you for coming onto this site and posting what you have posted. With God ALL things are possible, AND I do NOT believe in coincidences, nor does Our Creator,God,as He states in the OT. I will include you in my daily prayers.-Your Sister in Christ-KTT

That he is a liar, accuser a mocker and a brawler. He is a trouble maker He is the father of lies, He is a deceiver and causes discord amongst the brethren.

Focus on God not Satan.

I know enough to stay away from him.

Satan will also do everything in his power to hurt and destroy those who love God.

Satan is a loser Jesus Christ gives victory.

He was a very powerful angel, but had a problem with the bowing down to man thing. I can't really blame him for that, angels were created first, so he must have been pretty ticked. The sin of pride is what got him and his minions. That's why he hates us, he thinks its all our fault that he was kicked out of heaven. Some think they can rule with him in hell, but they forget, he hates us all. He wants to take us down out of jealousy and hate, he doesn't want to associate with us or be buddies, he wants to make us suffer as he's suffering and from the news, I'd say he's doing a bang up job of it.

The Greatest Deception Satan ever accomplished was to convince people that he doesn't exist!!

2006-08-31 22:58:07 · answer #9 · answered by Kitten 5 · 1 0

i know that (he/she) does exist, in my faith anyway not really sure if male or female, but is very real, to me.
have you ever felt that certain things were so unimaginable, because they were so horribly evil? i truly believe that is satan at work.
i also believe that he is the exact opposite of God (in my faith) where God is everything love and caring and always there, satan is just the opposite.
not really sure of the story of how satan came about, but i do know that any evil force that will overcome me and prevent me from doing what i believe is right and moral, is to me, the work of satan.
