Aw yes the Bosch centrifugal advance distributor First turn the engine by pushing the car in forth gear on level drive way key turned off intill the current distributor rotor is pointing at the #1 cyl plug wire left rear cyl. and note the notch on the crankshaft pulley that lines up with the engine case split take car out of gear set the brake. Also note that the rotor inside the old distrubuter lines up with a line on the body of the distributor. loosen the 10mm clamp below and wiggle twist and pull up. There is only one way the new part will fall down far enough because of the off set distributor drive. Push in the new part while turning the rotor until it drops in. Providing that the new part points are adjusted 27 to 32 degrees Dwell. You can set the timing with a ADVANCE TYPE timing light to about 12 to 15 degrees advanced to the left of the engine case split and at 3,700 rpms total advance of 37/40 degrees for maxium power

I think John Paul gave you some very good information, but just to add a few things. Do you have a good shop manual? Like a bentley brand one, realy can't beat them and amazon.com usual has the best prices on them. Also why are you going with a 009? I've all most never heard a single good thing about them, if this is a brand new one you may want to honestly think about returning it before you run it and going somthing like a SVDA Distributor or more tradtional distributor. Anyways your call.
