beacuase no question no matter how stupid, must be answered, its just like an itch, it must be scratched. besides, its the stupid questions that make answering on yahoo answers so much fun =D!!

Ok, I must admit, when I was at level one and two, and even three I did it, for the points.
And sometimes, I just couldn't resist those stupid ones. Especially if I came up with a snappy answer. But more often than not, I came up with a stupid answer. Seemed sort of fitting, at the time, lol.

To get points, especially if it's a quick question they can answer. Personally though I just move on if the question is stupid to me, forget putting in negative input not worth my time.

Points. And not just two points per answer. Sometimes they are trying to make a point to the asker.
