My husband and I have had the same tradition every year since we got married and that has been almost 20 years. We decide on a gift for each other, just one gift between the two of us that we can share and both use. We see it as we got married together so we should pick a gift together. I can't remember everything, but they have ranged from a new VCR, to a new bed to a new car…. It works for us I guess…. And we both seem to be happy about that.

If you don't like that idea, then go for the jewelry...

Happy Anniversary…

But a beautigul saaree atleast on Birthday, M.Ann & Diwali, 3 times a year should will do. Birthday u can give suit & all, but if she wears saaree, no other gift can surpass a saaree. Cost / range of saaree depends upon 1.yr pocket, 2. occassion & the No. of ann year, biut a memorable one on round figures 1,2,5,10..
Good range then a gold ring > Gold chain or Mangalsootra and so on.
Means preferably one gold item once a year or in two years depending on yr pocket.
If she likes, can get her good jewel/stone studded artificial sets ( as are popular now a days).
Only u can decide the best as u only know her tastes.

ALSO any special thing she wanted her to have , for a long time can be accurate/perfect gift.

Well wifes have a fantasy and curiosity that what gift they are going to get. You can try an interesting idea.

Tell your wife that one of your friend has told you to buy something for his girlfriend when he is going to propose him may be some ring or any gift. take her with you to the market and let her choose the gift. It should be done a week before you anniversary.

Then on the big day surprise her by giving her the same gift. And this will surely leave her blushing and the romance will be rekindled again after 7 years.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

It is only 7th year my dear boy. Give her a silk saree from Nallis and a dinner in a good restaurant. Even after 35 years of marriage I have not given a diamond ring to my wife.

wow it can something flashy but the best gifts are the one from the heart perhaps a real nice photo album with all the pics from the past 7 years from day of marriage to first apt to first funny happenings but only something you both can enjoy and understand concert tickets flower or picture from flower she picked while out taking a walk you get the idea real mushy stuff and congrats and wonderful to see how much thought going into it and really just the fact that you remembered awe how sweet....

How about a day to herself...seriously. Women who work and have kids and have a million other responsibilities could all use a day off. Let her sleep late, let her go to a spa for the afternoon. I have a friend who send his wife to a hotel for the night...alone. She gets to watch TV uninterrupted, read a magazine, call her girlfriends, or just vegetate. She always comes back energized and happy to see her husband and her family.

But jewelry is always good ;)

How about taking her to a bed and breakfast? The homes are usually quaint and antique - and they serve gourmet breakfasts. If you get online, you can pick out the room of your choice - and there's usually plenty of things to do nearby like kayaking and shopping. Congratulations on your 7 years - I'm looking forward to getting there; this September we celebrate our 1st year. :)

Besides flash gifts (which are always appreciated), you could give her your love. This could be in various ways, but the most cherished would be to take over her house chores for the day and treat her like a queen. This I'm sure she will never forget for many years to come.
