It is sad that you have to post this stupid question about chinese eating cats and dog,but is alright for americans to eat cow,pigs and chickens.What's the difference, all animals have life like you and me. Is alright to kill the cow and chicken to feed your lovable pets in america,cats and dogs. what do you call that? Isn't that double standard. You should be considerate with your question or atleast think before you post your dumd and stupid question next time.By the way i'm not chinese,i'm just sick and tired of you self righteous people who thinks the whole world revolves around you and your dumb *** know it all culture. Of course, it is wrong for anyone to eat cats and dogs, and completely unnecessary. However, the vast majority of Chinese do not eat cats or dogs, and many are just as disgusted as you by the thought of it. It is a very small minority of Chinese people (mainly older, rural and uneducated) who eat cats and dogs. In fairness, people from other countries in Asia and elsewhere have been known to eat dogs and cats, too. Also, in times of war and famine, people have eaten dogs and cats to survive, and I think that is more acceptable.

Some do, most don't. Do you not think that the homeless people all over the world eat cats, dog, rat, snake, etc.... I repent, cats belong on leashes, and as long as those cats keep coming into my backyard trying to attack my friends "The Birds", I will keep shooting them with my paintball gun. PLEASE use real spelling, this is driving me potty! anyway, why is it sadder or worse or more wrong for a society to approve of people eating cats and dogs than it is for a society to approve of people eating cattle and pigs? that we abhore the idea of eating cats and dogs in most western countries is a purely cultural thing, it has nothing to do with ethics, morals or nutrition. a pig is not less worthy of living because it's not cuddly, y'know. once you make the decision to eat meat, this is the one moral decision you make. which animal the meat comes from subsequently matters **** all. btw - i do eat meat, but i'm aware of the ethical questions that decision poses.

Aint no worse than eating any other animal, and just as"unnecessary".

Also, dog is actually very tasty (especially char-grilled, when it takes on a delicious smokey flavor) and a LOT healthier for you than pork. Never tried cat though. Maybe one day.

I don't because it is a part of their culture. Just like Japanese eat raw fish. Who are we to say that what they are doing is wrong, when we do the same things?
