I loved it! My mom did, too. She would tell us stories about her trip there and I'd always wanted to go. I had a pen pal from when I was 15 in Mexico so I finally went in 85, I think. It was lots of fun and interesting!

I think its a great country. I feel that Vincte Fox failed as the President of Mexico. He did not crack down on crime nor internal corruption. He did not create jobs. In mexico we see the two very different classes. The very rich and the very poor. AMerica was not that good nor was Hong Kong and I feel Mexico can become a powerful country if things are changed.

I am a botanist/Anthropologist and I really think people need to learn deeaper when they have their comments.

I don't think its a bad idea to have a wall across the mexican boarder because it allows the entrances at the right places. One of the reason why I am for the wall is Its sad to hear each day of mexicans dying in the desert. This is further proof that Fox failed by not creating jobs. I just hope the new administration will do better.

I'll answer in several ways.

First, I think it is a wonderful country. The people are really nice and warm towards foreigners. They are very easygoing and some Mexicans do know how to party.

Secondly, it's a jewel of a country. Those long, cristaline beaches; those colonial cities with Spanish heritage, those little charming towns where the pace of time is nearly endless...

Thirdly, it is a nation that counts in the geopolitical game. Its economy is as big as Canada's (or Brazil's) and many multinationals do business there. It also counts on the political level (for instance, what would be of US-Cuban relations without Mexico? Or what role would Mexico play in post-Castro Cuba?

Finally, let me just express a note of concern. I believe the future of Mexico is grimm. With rising, almost unstoppable crime; growing political instability, depleting resources (oil, forests and water for instance), desertification, poverty... Mexico faces very difficult challenges ahead, and I cannot wish it but the best.

It's a backward Third World country beset by an extremely corrupt political system which is a shame since the country was once one of the leading civilizations in the world. Mexico City is also one of the most polluted cities in the world. But, for some reason people continue to flock there for their vacations despite the fact there's a high crime rate as well and you're taking a chance any time you go there.

Mexico is a hot, dirty, poor and corrupt country. The beaches are nice, but that's because its financed from the money of other nations. If Mexico were a nice place to live where a person could make a living then the US wouldn't have so many illegals.

I think mexico would be a very rich country if it werent for its government. They have plentiful natural resources, great farmland, two coastlines, and a lot of proud people ready to work. The government is very corrupt.
