I can tell you how my life was affected by weather. We took a direct hit from hurricane Rita (extreme weather). We were unable to evacuate due to elderly relatives and a town that did not provide special needs evacuation. We had 2 trees on the house and 6 huge oaks down in the drive way, 20 trees down in the yard. The driveway was totally blcoked and we had to cut our way out. We had to use a bucket for a toilet and had to walk out behind a tree to empty it. We had to ration what food we had, there was no electricity for weeks and there are still people with blue tarps on their houses. I could tell you about all the business which are still closed and people who had to find jobs. I could tell you about my aunt who died during the evacuation process but had to wait 3 weeks before she could be buried. I could tell you about the 40 funerals held in 1 day, etc.

Let me tell what weather I don't like, and then wrap the comment with a thought:
--Hot temperatures over 100 F (34 C)
--High (and prolonged) levels of humidity and haze
--Two much rain
--Two much rain combined with tropical haze
Now, low temperatures I can manage (...kind of like snow).

On the other hand, I've always thought these are the conditions most people dislike. Who likes hot, hazy and humid temperatures? Seriously, who likes them? They don't allow for sport practice, nor for outside work (or inside work without climatisation) and the same goes for rain (Just think of the many activities that can be cancelled because of rain: all the way from football matches to weddings!)

So, to summarise, and think we human kind feel pretty much the same about weather, this is universal. I hate very high temperatures, so does my neighbour..

I get headaches when the weather changes drastically and I don't like waking up on gloomy/overcast days... it makes me tired. I don't like the rain.

I am happy when it is sunny and the air is crisp outside. I like it when it snows, but only when the cold is a dry cold, if it is wet, then it seeps into my bones and I don't like that.

I hate being hot. I live in the south and it's muggy as #@#@ during the summer. Which prevents me from doing the things I enjoy most outdoors. Hunting season starts in August but I won't go until Oct.
