my wedding ring and band are white gold, but we are finding a lot of platinum for decent prices, will the color difference be subtle enough or if they were side by side would you be able to tell?

Yikes. My rings are platinum, my husbands is brushed titanium. It's much darker than mine. Would you be wearing the titanium or is it for him? We got him titanium because he uses his hands a lot for work and it's very strong and durable. Titanium will always be less expensive than gold or platinum.
I wouldn't put titanium next to white gold. The gold will tarnish and the titanium won't.

titanium is lighter than gold or platinum. my hubby's ring is platinum & if you measure it against my white gold wedding band, his weighs a lot less even though it's wider & mine has diamonds on it. the color issue could be decided by bringing yours in to compare.

My bands are white gold, but we're looking at titanium for him. It seems to be lighter and more able to withstand the knocks and pings men put jewelry through.
I'd just go try them on though to see what you like best.

I can never see the point in paying for white gold or platinum, they both look like silver, so why not buy silver the cheapest version ? Marriage is NOT about money !

You would have to have both in your hand to compare. White gold has a slightly more brilliant shine in most cases. It holds up much, much better, too.

Depends on the style of the ring...but I don't think it'll be a huge difference. You need to also think about what they might look like the longer you have them. Thay may "age" differently, so to speak.
