Do wants best for you if he's go good guy then go for it. If your parents doesn't like him then maybe that's something to think about because I'm sure your parents don't want to see you with a loser. Your parents been on this earth way longer than you and if the both of them had prior relationships when before they met then trust me they will know what's good for their daughter good luck with that it sounds like your a good kid and you really love your parents.

If you are over 16, You should sit down with your parents and discuss why they don't want you to date. Maybe you have shown them you aren't mature enough to know how to handle the dating scene yet. You need to do things that show your parents you can be trusted and responsible for your actions. By the way you wrote your question, i get the feeling you don't know what Love is. You haven't really been with anyone long enough to love them. Love is more than sex. Talk to your mother about your feelings and let her talk to you about love and life in general. Your parents are trying to help you and save you some heartaches later on. They want you to be ready when you chose a man to spend the rest of your life with, and you are not yet. When they let you start dating, date several guys before you settle on one, this way you will have experienced what life has to offer in a mate.

Toughie. But I know exactly how you feel. when i was younger, my parents told me i couldn't have a boyfriend untill i was at least 10. The thing is, my boyfriend at the age of ten and I broke up after four months. There could be a reason they are telling you. Are you too young? are you still a minor and he's an adult? if he is over the age of 18, it's illegal to be his girlfriend anyways. Just wait it out. If he really loves you, he'll wait the three years and embrace you with loving arms when they are over with. Best of luck!

There are a lot of things you can do. You could try to talk to your parents about your feelings for this guy and how he has been waiting to date you for so long. This may prove to them how much this guy really cares for you. On the other hand, you could be dishonest to your parents and date him behind their backs, but when this happens, parents almost always find out - just a warning. I can't tell you exactly what to do, because it's your life. I don't know how old you are, so I don't know how serious you are about this guy, but if you really do love him, you should try talking to your parents again.

If you're too young by your parents standards to date then honor their wishes. Wait till you're of age. Explain that to this guy and if he can't handle that then he cannot handle you and doesn't deserve you. Stick to your morals you know what's right and what's not. Don't get messing around with love and lust too early you could wind up damaged for life. Do not put yourself in the crap hole that some of us have been in. Even in college it's crap. Ben der don dat. GRRR. Can I shoot myself now? LOL.

If your boyfriend really cares for you he will wait for you. Write him letters and let him know you how you feel. Talk to him on the phone and keep up with what is going on in his life. Invite him over to have dinner with you and your parents.

If he won't wait for you, he isn't worth your time anyway.

I'm sorry if that sounds harsh. And believe me, I know what that situation feels like b/c I LIVED it . . .

But they are only trying to do what's best for you. You have to trust your folks and give them a little credit. I mean, how many talk shows have teen moms? They are just looking out for you, not trying to be mean, I promise.

If he has waited this long he will wait longer and if he doesn't then it wasn't meant to be. Don't go against your parents, you may not like to outcome or the consequences.
