Well, it just means that we're not good. We have good traits, good characteristics, good leanings...but we are not 100% good. This doesn't mean--for me, at least--that a Christian has a negative self-image, because I, personally, don't have a negative self-image. I am just able to take a sober account of my life, and I realize that no matter how much I may want to be sinless, I cannot do it. No matter how good my intentions, I fail.
This isn't akin to beating myself up, because I don't. It means that I accept the gift of mercy and salvation from the only one who can give it.
And when God has mercy upon me, it is freeing. I don't condemn myself, because God is my judge. This doesn't mean that I don't take stock of what I think, what I do, and so forth...what it means is that I calmly, reasonably, and logically look at who I am--failures and successes--and seek God's help in overcoming my shortcomings.
That's all. It has nothing to do with not being good enough on earth. It has to do with not being God.

Even if I hadn't read the quote, I would have said I never will be good enough. I am a child of sinners. I cannot achieve perfection without God's provision. It is only because He guides me that I have any chance at all to stop sinning. Even with His guidance, I often get stubborn and decide to operate on my own will instead of submitting to His.

You worship the 12 Gods of Olympus.
The Apostle Paul told the Greeks that the Unknown God already came to Earth as Jesus Christ.
I feel that neo-pagans have smoked too much weed to think straight - just as the original pagans ate too many mushrooms to think straight as well.

Whynotaskdon is not the voice for all Christians.
While I may not subscribe to the same ideas of this man, I do not understand why people continually single him out as an object of ridicule.

no one will ever be good enough to be worthy to go to heaven, but Jesus made us worthy when he went to the cross, and when we except him,we become worthy in his eyes.we will all sin, yes even if we are Christians, but if we ask him for forgiveness,we are forgiven.as long as we are in this human body,no matter who we are we will sin.

It's Satan who makes people rebel against God, as he rules this planet, It is only by believing that Christ conquered Satan on the cross, that you can overcome with His help.
