I'm 24 years old and have long brown hair. I'm originally from NY but now live in California. It seems like the west coast girls love it and the east coast girls hate it. I'm going to keep it long regardless of your opinions so go ahead and be completely honest. I'm curious... is it a coastal cultural thing or not?

I think guys with long hair if well groomed, look great,
my hubby has hair to his rear, curly and well groomed, he is told he looks like Johnny depp alot, not the grungy depp look but the clean look..

I'm from the east coast and really don't care for long hair on guys. of course i cant speak for all guys with long hair, but it just doesn't seem that they take care of it the way us girls do, and it comes across as kind of dirty. also everyone has different opinions on what 'long' is, i think of it as past the shoulders.
I'm sure there are guys out there with beautiful longer hair that i would probably be jealous of, but i also don't want a man with better hair than me!

This East Coast woman loves lots of hair on men, longer the better. Keep it clean, though. I can understand getting it cut short if it's really hot or if you swim a lot, but more hair is lots sexier.

A lot of females like long hair on guys.
As long as it is well kept ie clean and brushed!
Hubby has hair to his waist and females are checkin him out constantly! He is in his 40's!
Look at alot of the male dancers ( Kevin of Chippendales for one) they also have long hair.
It is personal preference! Go with who YOU are, if it fits your personality and you're happy with it keep it!
We're on the East coast, and long hair IS in!

I'm on the west coast. You asked us to be honest so I will be. Honestly it is the most unattractive thing for me. I do not like it at all.

Long hair on some guys makes them appear romantic and highly intelligent...but on others it screams "Street Bum"
My sweetie is as bald as bald can be...he has male pattern baldness and thinks combing his hair over his bald spots looks dorky, so, he shaves his head in the shower. I find his bald head to be totally sexy.
So, to answer your question...Yes. If the guy does not look like a street bum, I do indeed like looking at long hair on guys, but , to me, in order for a guy to to be sexy looking, he has to be bald :)
I am from Texas, and there is no coast where I am, unless you count the Gulf Coast. which is a hella distance.

ewwwwwwwwie no i hate long hair on guys i like short hair like buzz cut 1 close cut ect. and yes i`m on the east coast

It really depends on the guy. Some men just don't look good with short hair and some don't look good with long hair. Brad Pitt looks better with long hair. Stone Cold Steve Austin looks better bald.

Have always liked long hair on men, provided its kept clean and brushed. I was born and raised in Southern California. Am not a girl any more, but it still looks fine to me. Be yourself.
