I was told that my neuroligist had given up his license to practice... was hoping to find proof positive of this!

you can check out the department of health in your state - they will tell you if the license is active, and if not, why. i agree with the last guy, anyone who graduates medical school can get a license - also check his certification, which is regulated through the society that governs his specialty.

Many states have a website where you can check to see if a physician has a current/valid medical license. But a medical license don't mean much, I'm a physician and lots of bad physicians have licenses

Most states have a department of professional regulation - most have a page on the web that you can see if your doctor has a license and any sanctions on the Doctor.
