Good analogy. I was confused about where you going with this until your last sentence. Immigrants are not just from Mexico but other countries as well. I had a neighbor who's girlfriend and him overstayed their visa for 10 years. (they were from England) Their daughter was born in England and was going to school in US even though they were not legal. He was in serious trouble in England and Spain had a warrent for him for not paying millions in taxes for exported/imported wine. Here in the US he was screwing over companies and writing bad checks etc. He finally got arrested and convicted here for fraud and deported to Spain where is passport was from. He left US companies out of millions of dollars.. Nice way to thank a country who allowed his daughter to get an education even though they were here illegally for 10 years.

Some of the discrimination is on account of race. How can one tell a legal immigrant from an illegal immigrant without checking their green card.

If you mean that there's a big problem because there are way too many recent immigrants and that most of these are Mexicans who got here illegally, without following immigration procedures, then I agree. I think our government let this problem get so far out of hand that Hispanics and non-Hispanics are lined up against each other on this issue.

Right on! Great analogy. That is exactly what has happened. Illegal immigrants from other countries just go about their business and try to fit in and stay out of trouble. The millions of illegals from Mexico come here and start demanding rights. RIGHTS? WHAT RIGHTS? Citizens have rights, legal immigrants have privileges, Illegals have nothing at all.
