The answers you get will just be more silly religious double-talk. Nothing about Christianity makes any sense.

Yup, christianity is in a constant state of self contradiction.

To whynotaskdon:

If god answers prayers then why are there millions of starving and disease ridden children through out the world?

Ohh let me guess, they aren't praying hard enough? Or to the right god huh?

Praying is one way to have a relationship with God, your heavenly Father. Don't think of prayer as one way communication. It's two way. Open your heart during your quiet time with the Lord and He will speak to you. We worship God in order to thank him for providing us, his children, with everything that we need on this earth, and for promising us life everlasting with Him in heaven.

As far as interfereing goes, i wouldn't use that word, but I definitely believe that God intervenes in my life. Many, many, MANY of my prayers have been answered, some simple and others miraculous. Through prayer, worship, and study of His Holy Word God guides me through this life and helps me to cope with the failures and disappointments as well as celebrate the successes.

If you have legitimate questions about how God can impact your life, then I beg you to find a local church or seek out a close friend who is walking with Christ and ask them to tell you about their faith. You owe it to yourself to do some reseach and get some good answers so that you can make an informed decision.

An excellent book that I would also recommend is "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel. The author was a journalist who was a confirmed atheist and set out to PROVE that Christianity was false. After exhausting research he convinced himself of just the opposite. This book outlines his journey.

Prayer is for those who pray. It's just a way to focus yourself. Of course, that'd be any prayer other than the time you'd prayed to say you'd accepted the Gift of Salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus, and the time you'd prayed to ask forgiveness for your sins in the name of Jesus.

God doesn't interfere with our will, to do right or wrong. He does has his hands in all. An whether you a Christian or Muslim, I believe there is the Bible or the Koran....that's how people know they are doing his will, they read!

It's just priests, choir masters and scout leaders that interfere with you

Whynotaskdon is right.

God is in complete control.
He will not, however, "interfere" with you unless asked.
His Word says Lo I stand at the door and knock.
If you don't answer He won't barge in.

God doing what we ask him for is not 'interfering' with us.
