it won't happen,...

I'm sorry - but its true.

you can go to give aid to comfort those that can be comforted, but you will never reach those who need help most desperately or in dire need.

why not - you ask, it isn't about money or logistical resources. It's about two things. These two things affect any potential to make a difference in our world today and anytime in the future regardless of where and when.

{1}
Elliminate all striffe in the world. Where there is open hostilities there is chaos, and simply put - nothing works other than continued suffering & death.

[2]
Save the planet.
I think its already too late, the planet is dying.
Everyday you hear something about some place in the world that is dying - where the scientists who are observing and doing research in the locality are completely befuddled.
Even if only a fraction of these news stories were true, the signs are there.
The Weather is getting worse everywhere, storms are historically more powerful than previously documented and happening in greater frequency. There are records being broken of severities everywhere.

Even if there were an international effort on a global scale to force an everlasting "peace" bewteen all peoples who share this little miracle of life in this desolate corner of the milky way galaxy.
By the time striffe and hostilities cease to exist, it will be far too late. The extinction of the human race because of our own greed, neglegence and stupidity. Will be final.

There may be survivors, but the civilization that we created, is what caused the problem in the first place. Civilization as we know it will die.

Don't believe me?

You're welcome to look for yourself, find the truths the facts, are you willing to live with what you find. Will you deny our future for our children looks bleak? No matter what you do otherwise.

Comfort the living where ever they may be, is about all you can do. At least for now, the end of the world is near, but it won't come for a while - at least not in your lifetime. But it is soon, and it would seem that judgement day has already passed.

In my opinion, solving this problem is almost impossible because it would require a total change of social structures as well as elimination of hierarchy. In any given society there will be a hierarchy consisting of the upper ruling class(in this country it is capitalism and the fortune 500 groups), eliminating the middle class, and eliminating the poor working class---that seems to be not possible. Racism and genocide are also factors having to go into the dump, and all this unfortunately sounds like some form of communism.

To get a grip on poverty there has to be a balance between income and inflation, there have to be real wages instead of sweatshop and minimum wages, and there has to be a government providing necessities such as electricity, water, air conditioning and heat to all the citizens. that can only be achieved by levying taxes upon the working people.
However, the beginning should be a real education, not one that depends on what neighborhood you live in. So again, more taxes onto the working people.

Where there are educated people and satisfied necessities, there have to be jobs. Nowadays, with improved technologies a lot of jobs became obsolet, but there is a broader need in technology as well as in agriculture for people do need to eat. Poor countries often do not have the resources to develop their land, but I do believe that with proper education they will have the tools to be creative and develop their land for agriculture. A globalization of sorts, where there is one government to oversee everything, and where there is a bartersystem instead of money in order to exchange goods and services would probably work better. Why pay with money if we need oil but deliver natural gas?

Education is the solution to this problem, equal and adequate education for all the citizen, regardless of ethnic, racial, or other background, only this way can an upward swing be expected.
Besides, why would America want to solve world poverty? It can't even eliminate poverty in its own country---we got homeless people, we have people living so destitute in the richest nation of the world, that I think we need to solve our poverty problem before we want to tackle the world's poverty....

Solving global poverty seems a little too overwhelming for most of us. However, we as individuals, can do our part by starting small. For example, we should render our service towards those who are in need in our own community first.

Begin with helping our neighbours, friends and local community who are in dire straits. Once we are prepared to join hands with the other communities and countries, we should share whatever knowledge, expertise and resources that we have. Now, that's when the challenge arise.

Start small. Think big. Only then can we work towards the common goal.

HONESTLY, no matter how much money get sent to these countries for help will not solve anything. It'll HELP but WON'T SOLVE IT! It has to start with world leaders helping these countries build their government and eliminate corruption so that they will be able to utilize their natural resources to the fullest. If the government is good then corruption will be better and the money will be used to help the infrastrature instead of it going to private pockects. Powerful world leaders like bush should stop worrying about fighting wars and more on building governments for the right reason. God Bless :-)

you can't help by just giving out food.. that's what happened in a lot of 3rd world countries -- they stopped trying to work and are just waiting for a handout. Give them food but at the same time provide them with the means to provide for themselves.. remember the saying "give a fisherman fish and you feed him for a day, teach him how to fish and you feed him for life"

well we need a better economy where it helps the poor get on their feet .If you have more programs to help them work etc.. you'd have less people in poverty.Like here in washington . there's a women's program that men can join too for those on welfare.. to get off of welfare by gaining skills necessessary to get higher paying jobs.maybe make more jobs so there's less people will be jobless. you can do the same thing in other countries.
