Why don't you? Good luck. It's cost less and alternatives tend to cause other types of pollution. It's cheaper to pay the oil companies for energy than it is to make a solar, wind, nuclear or hydroelecetric infrastrucutre.
Solar pollutes our water because of the process used to make the photovoltaic cells. Wind power is very expensive and requires a lot of maintence. Ever see thousands of windmills littering the country side. It takes a lot of space. Hydroelectric dams effect the environment.
Nuclear power makes waste that needs to be barried. I like nulcear power. Actually the most promising alternative I think is not available yet. Nuclear fusion actually produces less waste or more easily contained waste.

because air polution is happening everywhere. If air polution were to stop without a polution free source of power, we all be living like cave man.

Nice thought but do you have any practical suggestions. Are you willing to accept the return of nuclear power? Are you willing to depend on mass transit only? How much are you willing to pay for energy? How much energy use are you willing to give up?

There are a lot of buzz words and political correctness attached to the thought but I've never heard any rational ideas for a nation wide solution to the entire energy crisis.

there has been a remarkable change now as the ozone layer has stopped growing bigger. so stopping is not the best option but educating and minimizing the damage is the solution now. Business still runs and money to be made so controls are put in place. anyway the way i see it is that our planet is already screwed so why cry over split milk............

Sorry to burst your bubble Kid but if it hasn't happened by now its not going to. The day is coming when God will make a new heaven and a new Earth this one will pass away. Just make sure your with Him when that happens. Oh and shut that a.c. off plus the heat. turn out the lights in fact shut that electrical breaker off to your house, grow your own food, and walk everywhere you go, you think that's going to happen. people fight and bicker and whine and complain now more than ever before. laziness and convenience spurs inventions. Its all going away someday and it will never be like this again.

Its too late their are already to many cars in this world and other hazardous stuff that create pollution. We cant stop it now that its this bad. But we can slow down the process but that's up to everyone in the WORLD to do it. And half of the world or more doesn't even care.

And how do you do that? Go back to living in huts and caves, no more fossil fuels or cars (remember making cars causes tons of pollution). And how about all of that evil dihydrogen monoxide that is dumped into our oceans on a daily basis by those evil refineries and factories? Bad bad bad!

Because it costs corporations a lot of money to design their factories, mills, etc to pollute less. Laws are the only way to make them reduce emissions, but the politicians get huge amounts of donations from such corporations, so they rarely pass Pro-environmental laws. The voting public could elect pro-environmental candidates, but people are too worried about stupid issues like if gay people can get married or if people who cross the border can stay.

The Rebuplican party exists to further the interests of corporations.
