The weather is too hot to eat the fresh oyster stew I just made. Can I freeze it. It's made with cream.

if it is made with cream, it is best not to freeze it as you run the risk of it breaking and the milk curdling when you reheat it

You may find that when reheating, bits of oil or butter will form on the top. Freeziing can break cream [seperating the solids]. If so, warm the oysters, remove them from the soup and put in your bowl.. Bring the cream to a boil and touch it with a bit of cornstarch mixed with a bit of water and add. It will thicken slightly but it will bring your broken cream back together.
