thinking about changing antivirus from norton to f-secure, can anyone say how good f-secure is? thanks?

i don't know how good f-secure is. for i would never use norton, its the most usless program in the world. for example when i used to use norton one day my pc stated to run awful so i did an online virus scan with trend micro, which found many of virus and the fully updated norton dident even know i had a virus.

No antivirus is 100% effective. Too many viruses being developed by the minute. F-Secure has been around for a long time and is popular in Europe. I have it as an alternative and it's found some viruses the others have missed. Several help books, including Cleaning Windows XP for Dummies by Allen Wyatt, recommend it. The othee anti virus slows down you system. I use it in my computer because it is one of the oldest and most reliable software.

I use AVG Free for my antivirus and hardly have any problems. Plus you don't have to pay a subscription fee to update virus definitions.

i used f-secure for 2 years,its a very good,slick interface and has scanners for viruses,spyware,and rootkits(programs that install themselves deep on your hard drive)
its about the 3rd best anti-virus you can buy 8/10

friends have used both ,and found them clumsy.
so have gone to avast which has kept my system free from viruses for 8 years
its free from avast.com
