Eccl 9:5
states that the dead know nothing.
Eccl 9:10 says those in the grave have no knowledge
Rev 20:13, 14 says those in hell are taken out, and then hell is done away with.
Seriously, in most cases the word translated hell is the same as the word translated as grave. so hell is the grave
and the grave is hell. Jesus said that those who fall asleep in death in connection with the Lord will be rewarded with everlasting life. Those don't receive the reward just continue sleeping for eternity.
The word for hell fire is Gehenna, which in the Greek refers to the garbage dump outside Jerusalem. They used sulfer to totally destroy the garbage, any person who was thrown in the dump was destroyed not tormented forever.

I once read a story or an allegory about the kingdom of heaven.
Here it is paraphrased:
Ther was a long hall with two doors I opened one of the doors and inside was a beautifully set round table. On this opulant table was a large bowl of hearty delicious soup. Around the table there were people with very long spoons. These people were desperately trying to feed themselves with these long spoons and couldn't make it into their mouths. These people were starving and crying and moaning because they could not eat this soup. They were emaciated and miserable.
I walked back to the hall and entered the second room.
In that room was the same beautiful table. It was just as fancy as the other table with the same kind of soup in the middle of the table. You could hear the sound of joy and laughter . These people had the same long spoons. Lo and behold they were sitting around feeding each other!
What do you think?

hell is what the earth is now ever since Adam & Eve were sent out of eden the earth has been under satans captivity until Jesus comes to take those of us who have repented of our sin to his kingdom in heaven for 1000 years. Then he will wake the wicked who remain here on the earth judge them fairly before the second death when everything on this earth will be burned up so he can make everything new.

From the pictures you see, kind of hot. Kind of like Texas in the summer.
In my religion hell is exactly what you manifest. Meaning you can make your hell right here right now on earth by the choices that you make in living your life apart from God. and it can last as long as you continue in that behavior, here and beyond this life as we are manifesting it right now. In other words until you understand your duty to God and his teachings you will continue to suffer the hell in which yourself created.

Hell is seperation from God, wich is torment.
The Lake of Fire, is eternal, and described to be a place where screaming will never cease. Its better described then that, but I dont want to look it up right now.

You don't want to know that!!
All you should be interested is
what heaven is like and how you
can get there.
Jesus died for your sins and
all you have to do to get to
heaven is accept his gift.
That is it.
Too bad that is tooooo
simple for so many people,
they want to argue and bicker
and worry and threaten.
Just ACCEPT THE GIFT
and go ON!!!
